Out Side Reading # 4

I was flipping through the pages of Vogue and between all the fabulous designs was an article called Costumes for the Revolution. This article was interesting by that it was about how Joan Juliet Buck remembered working at Glamorous in the 1960's and dressing exotically to offset a climate of political mayhem. I found this to be an eye catcher because we are in such a heavy political time that this would be the perfect thing to blog about. When Nixon was elected in the fall she wore all red and every shade of red together to protest him being elected. There was so much war and politics going on that the small numbers of revolutions came from other countries different forms of clothes that only few trendy and sophisticated could afford to wear. it talks about how fashion and politics can go together and how they are wrapped around each other. This election for example there has been any designs for clothing and other items for each party Democrats and Republicans, many though are for Obama and are trying to get looks for everyone that they will wear on a daily baisis to get free advertdment.
